Thanks for the welcome! I'm in northwest South Carolina Oconee county about 15 min drive to Georgia. I have also found a ton of pyrite, and the small red balls cat eyes i think little rubies i can't remember what there called off hand. I have been testing creeks in rabun ga totally different material from where i get my gold. It has a lot more dark heavies but no gold yet. The search continues lol.

That's it garnets couldn't think of the name at the time. Heading out today for a full day of sluicing! Wish me luck, I'm gong to need it lol. At least it will be best weather I have had on the creek might hit 70! Thanks for the help.

Always remember that mica, pyrite, ect will break, flake, crush, smear...gold will never break, flake, crush, ect, it will only bend!!!! besure to watch your quartz for small gold nuggets clinging to it,,,our part of South Carolina has this type nuggets..Good Luck!
